black leather biker vest

Built with top quality, full grain moccasin cowhide. The seams, edges, back yoke, and pockets were all done using 1/4" wide lacing cut from the same leather that the parts of the vest were cut from. It has a large YKK #10 brass zipper for it's closure.
This vest also has (what I call) a 'draft flap'  - a 3" extension of the back/bottom.These are popular with my customers and I have built several versions of them = different curves across the bottom. On my vests home page you can see other versions of it.

Over the last 40 years, I've custom built hundreds of vests - you can see over 50 of them on my vests home page. While they are all braided, that's pretty much where their similarities end. After seeing the many features I can offer, folks contact me with their own ideas/designs and we discuss how I should build one for them. Each vest ends up truly being a unique, handmade, long lasting, one of a kind piece.

This black leather vest was built for a guy to use with his motorcycle. It features two hip slit pockets and a (YKK #10) brass zipper. It also has, what I call, a back draft flap ...which is a 3" extension of the bottom/back.
In this picture there is a good view of the yoke and the curved draft flap (I also use a more squared off one on other vests).
This picture shows the curved shape across the bottom of this vest. These draft flaps have become fairly popular with customers, both motorcycle wear and Western wear.
This picture shows the shape of the pocket of this vest. Often, I inquire about how wide someone wants their pocket to be and then I build it as large as I nicely can. These pockets are strong and can take a lot of rugged use. In fact, my vests can take a lot of rugged use - that's what many come to like about them.
