braided leather western bikers vest - custom and handmade in the USA

These pictures of the vest were taken before snap closures were added to it. All of the seams and edges are done with lather braiding. It has pockets and (what I call) a draft flap on the back bottom. Built by an artist-craftsman in the USA with American made/tanned moccasin cowhide that is a bit thicker than most vests are made with. This is a very rugged long lasting vest.

Over the last 40 years, I've custom built hundreds of vests - you can see over 50 of them on my vests home page. While they are all braided, that's pretty much where their similarities end. After seeing the many features I can offer, folks contact me with their own ideas/designs and we discuss how I should build one for them. Each vest ends up truly being a unique, handmade, long lasting, one of a kind piece.

Below is the side/back view of this vest. Notice the extended (about 3") draft flap.
This black braided moccasin leather vest has slit hip pockets and a 3" draft flap at the back/bottom of it.
Here, the vest is laid out on a table to better see how the draft flap looks - they've become quite popular on many of the vests that I've built.
